Chevrolet Tahoe

Safe and secure

The Tahoe features a host of available driver assistance technology, such as: Front Park Assist and Side Blind Zone Alert with Lane Change Alert. It also features a standard front center air bag (with standard front bucket seats), designed to activate between the driver and front passenger to offer added protection in side-impact collisions.

Hyundai Sonata

At a starting price of $21,150 the Sonata is an attractive option. This car touches on standard features like a driver’s blind spot monitor, a 60/40-split fold-down rear seatback, iPod and USB ports, and Bluetooth.

You can add optional equipment such as navigation seen through an 8-inch touchscreen, heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic tilt/slide sunroof.

The Automatic Emergency Braking system uses both a camera and radar sensor. If a crash is imminent and the driver does not react, the system deploys Automatic Emergency Braking.

The Sonata is a good option for families with small kids as it’s one of the easier midsize sedans to install one in a child seat.

EPA Numbers

The Sonata 2.4-liter inline-4 cylinder engine model is rated at 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque, the Sonata’s volume engine is EPA rated to return 25 city/38 highway/32 mpg combined.

Honda Odyssey

The 2015 Honda Odyssey goes beyond just being a minivan. There are eight seats in all Odyssey models except the least expensive LX. Furthermore, they offer unmatched seating flexibility. You can put three child booster seats in the second row and add two more LATCH-enabled seats in the third row, meaning a total of five boosters.

Beyond that, there’s a wide-screen rear-seat entertainment system with Dolby 5.1 Surround and HDMI inputs, Honda’s LaneWatch side-view camera, and an available built-in vacuum cleaner.

The Odyssey comes with a 248-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. It delivers best-in-class highway fuel economy. Maybe best of all, the Odyssey drives small, with good steering and suspension belying the vehicle’s overall size.
