HOW LONG WILL MY VEHICLE WRAP LAST?
In general, good quality vinyl vehicle wraps last from 5 to 7 years but the endurance of a car wrap or car skin will mostly depend on maintenance. On average, 5 years seems to be the going rate for daily driven wrapped vehicles. Most quality manufacturers like 3M offer a warranty of up to seven years. However, many clients typically sell or re-wrap their vehicles within the first 3 years.
Automotive maintenance is the key
- First, you must use good quality wrapping material. We definitely recommend cast vinyl, rather than the lower quality, cheaper option: calendered vinyl.
- To expand the quality of your wrap avoid abrasive car wash or chemicals when washing and cleaning the vehicle.
- The more exposure to extreme sun and heat the greater the risk that the color in the vinyl will fade, so avoid drastic weather as much as possible by keeping your vehicle in the shade.
- Finally, just keep in mind to take care of your wrap just as you will take care of a good quality paint job.
